The Board of Trustees ensures that the Union is being run in accordance with our own rules, as well as making sure that it complies with relevant legislation, is financially prudent and is managed to a high standard. For example, the Board of Trustees approves the Union’s financial plans and top-level strategies whilst overseeing the Union’s annual report and accounts. The Board of Trustees is made up of a wide range of people, including current students, the sabbatical officers, independent professionals and a nominee from the University.
